Sen. Coleman,
I strongly urge you to vote against Alberto Gonzales for attorney general. It is the duty of an attorney general to enforce the laws of this nation, and not to support the president's grandiose notions that he is above the law.
While the president should generally be entitled to his choice of cabinet members, this administration must be held accountable for its continuing legacy of torture, which has rightly drawn the contempt of the international community. It is time to stop paying lip service to morality.
Please Sen. Coleman, help restore our confidence in our elected officials.
