Smoking the Stems
George W B*sh today vetoed a bill that would have restored federal funding to embryonic stem-cell research.
I, for one, agree with his decision wholeheartedly.
He's absolutely correct; every embryo should have the same chance at life that you and I were given. Just because they can't speak for themselves doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to one day share our freedoms. They should be allowed to mature into human life capable of say, manning a weapon in order to attack the armies of an oil-rich foreign nation. Just like you and I. And, just like you and I, they should be given the opportunity to one day run for public office so that they can exercise their constitutional right to legislate their antiquated religion onto others. And, just like you and I, they should be allowed to live out their natural lives, perhaps one day suffering a debilitating spinal cord injury or dying at the hands of Parkinsons or Alzheimers.
It's God's will.
